As a senior tax partner at Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young), Mr. Pantowich advised wealthy families, investment bankers and brokerage firms, and developed the concept of full service client advocacy. Seeing his clients’ need for more comprehensive and coordinated advice, Mr. Pantowich moved to fill it by co-founding in 1983, one of the first multi-client family offices, TAG Associates. Under his stewardship the firm has grown into a preeminent family office dedicated to the growth and conservation of approximately $6.0 billion in assets under management. In addition to his role as Chief Executive Officer responsible for all aspects of the company’s business, Mr. Pantowich is Chairman of TAG’s Investment Committee. In 2005 Stan was honored with Private Asset Management's first Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his pioneering work in the field of family wealth management.

David Basner

Mr. Basner has over 20 years experience in asset management, private equity investing and investment banking, working with both institutional and high net worth clients. Since joining TAG in 2002, he has formalized TAG’s Portfolio Management Group as a division of TAG Associates. Mr. Basner oversees the group’s professionals in the areas of asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, risk management, fund administration and business development. Mr. Basner is Portfolio Manager of the TAG Relative Value Fund and the TAG Distressed Debt Fund II. He has responsibility for overseeing the TAG Diversified Strategies Fund. As President of TAG, Mr. Basner has additional oversight of the firm’s financial, human resources and operations departments. Prior to joining TAG, Mr. Basner worked in private equity and investment banking at the firm of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder. He is a member of TAG’s Investment Committee.
